Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya

It’s been a dream of mine to see and experience the wilds of Africa, and when I finally was given the chance to make such a trip I jumped on the opportunity. In the summer of 2016, I traveled to East Africa to live and experience the culture, meet new people, witness Africa’s oldest tribes, and safari the savannas. Needless to say, going on safari was the most highly-anticipated activity on the trip, and I was able to experience several of them. The most spectacular of all the safari destinations, though, was that of Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most renown wildernesses and the most amazing place I’ve ever visited! If you’re an animal lover, and get excited when you see wildlife, Maasai Mara has millions upon millions of animals to observe in their natural habitat. During the full day safari, I was able to practice my passion for film making and photography and have a small gallery on this post. For more photos of the trip, check out my Instagram @jeff_hyer or stay tuned for most posts.
